How to Calculate GPA

Grade Point Average or GPA is widely used to measure the academic performance of students. It is a way to bring uniformity to different evaluation scales that educational institutions in different parts of the world may use. Some institutions in the world use percentages, others use letter grades, and yet others may use GPA. When you apply to a foreign institution, that institution has to assess your grades (also called transcripts) against their system of evaluation and determine if you meet their admission standards.
